Hardware in heartland

Scores of children clambered over military equipment, tried their hand at games and looked at the displays.

Adults walked around and took photos. And all this was in the heart of Toa Payoh over the weekend.

The RSAF45@Heartlands - Celebrating 45 Years of Defending Our Skies exhibition commemorates the Republic of Singapore Air Force's 45th anniversary.

It showcases the history and heritage, operational capabilities and readiness of the air force as well as the servicemen's professionalism and commitment. Among the displays was the Hermes 450 Unmanned Aerial Vehicle.

The exhibition will also be held at Jurong East, Sengkang and Yishun next month.
