Harvey Norman launches one-stop shop for dishwashers

Singapore's first dishwashing concept store has opened at Harvey Norman Millenia Walk.

The concept store, a partnership between German manufacturer Bosch and Singapore household retail chain Harvey Norman, is called Der Spüler, which means dishwasher in German.

The two collaborated to open the first-of-its-kind concept store dedicated to sharing the water and energy-saving benefits of dishwashers with Singaporeans.

Said Harvey Norman's Managing Director, Mr Angelo Augustus: "Harvey Norman has partnered with Bosch, one of the top dishwasher brands in the world to build this innovative concept store to provide efficient washing solutions for time consuming daily cleaning need, hence freeing them the time to spend with their loved ones."

The 351 sq ft store, opened on May 23, is divided into four main zones: pre-purchase, purchase, post- purchase and consultation. Customers will be guided through the buying process in each of these zones by knowledgeable consultants.

Mr Augustus said: "Walk around this new concept store. We encourage you to view, touch and test the wide range of dishwashers to see which best suits your needs, style and lifestyle."

To help customers better understand the functions and thorough cleaning cycle of the dishwashers, an Illuminated Dishwasher Cut Out is strategically placed at the entrance, which allows them to view the interior of a dishwasher.

Customers can also find a dishwashing vs handwashing chart, an installation guide, as well as a products and accessories zone.

Summing up the idea behind this unique dishwashing store, Mr Augustus said: "We'll lead them on a journey to discover how much time and money they can save by letting a simple dishwasher make their daily chores more efficient."
