SINGAPORE - The haze situation in Singapore has improved overnight due to a shift in the prevailing winds to blow from the southeast, the National Environment Agency said on Sunday (Oct 4).

As at 12pm today, the 3-hr PSI was 78 while the 24-hr PSI was 104-121.

NEA said that the improving haze situation here will bring a gradual improvement in the 24-hr PSI. It is expected to be between the low and mid sections of the Unhealthy range, and may drop to the high-end of the Moderate range if the haze conditions continue to improve.

NEA also urged the public to reduce prolonged or strenuous outdoor physical exertion. Those not feeling well, especially the elderly and children, and those with chronic heart or lung conditions, should seek medical attention.
