SINGAPORE - The Housing Board (HDB) today launched the call for nominations for the Good Neighbour Award - which recognises individuals who have "gone the extra mile in enriching their community with acts of care and thoughfulness".

The award, introduced in 2009, is in its fifth run. HDB said that more than 8,000 nominations were received in the past four runs.

Over 1,200 individuals have been recognised with the award, HDB said in a statement on Monday.

Nominations can be submitted until Jan 31 next year. Forms can be obtained and submitted at HDB branches, Community clubs and community centres. Nominations can also be submitted online at www.hdb.gov.sg/heartlandbeat, through a toll-free hotline (1800-866-3079), or via the Mobile@HDB app.
