Vincent Ng Hian Gee, 34, is now accused of extorting $248,869 in cash and valuables from his 45-year-old victim, who cannot be named due a gag order.
Ng allegedly threatened to inform the Ministry of Education and his victim's school about their affair if he did not receive the items.
He was charged yesterday with eight counts of extortion involving $197,000 in cash, a Rolex watch, four Chanel bags, a gold chain and a pendant. He allegedly committed the offences between Sept 18, 2013 and March 12 last year.
Ng told the court yesterday that he wanted to engage a lawyer.
He is out on a bail of $20,000 and will be back in court on April 20.
If convicted, he can be jailed between two and seven years and caned for each count of extortion.
