Heavy rains leave vehicles stranded

Heavy rains yesterday afternoon left some vehicles like this taxi stranded in ankle-deep flood waters in Ubi Avenue 2. The storm also caused flash floods in Paya Lebar, MacPherson and Thomson. PUB said that many of the flash floods subsided within 30 minutes. Thundery showers are expected again this morning and in the early afternoon.
