High flood risk after Thursday morning showers around S'pore

SINGAPORE - Moderate to heavy thundery showers with gusty winds were experienced in many areas of Singapore on Thursday morning, with high risk of flash floods in the eastern and western parts of Singapore.

The Public Utilities Board (PUB) sent out numerous tweets and Facebook updates, starting from 4.00am to warn the public about the stormy weather and potential floods.

At 8.53am, PUB tweeted that the there was a high flood risk at Jln Seaview, after the water level had risen above 90 per cent.

PUB then said that there was a high flood risk at Sungai Pandan (AYE) at 9.33am, after the water level there rose above 90 per cent.
