Furniture and home appliances company Ikea is recalling eight brands of children's bed canopies because of a potential strangulation hazard.
In a statement on Thursday, Ikea said it had received reports of the canopies' nets being pulled into cots or beds and becoming entangled with infants' necks.
No permanent injuries were reported and none of these cases occurred in Singapore.
The affected canopies are Legendarisk, Minnen bed canopy set, Barnslig Boll, Minnen Brodyr, Himmel, Fabler, Tissla and Klämmig. They have been sold since 1996.
The company said that those who have bought an affected canopy should stop using it and return it for a full refund.
