Indonesia man dies with stab wounds after row

JAKARTA - Muhammad Muin, 27, was found dead in his rental room in a boarding house in Duren Sawit in East Jakarta at about 4:30 a.m. on Sunday after what the neighbours said was an argument with several men.

Neighbors said they heard a loud argument before they found Muin dead with stab wounds.

"I suspect it was murder because the next-door neighbour heard a loud argument," a neighbour, NS, 30, said as quoted by tribunnews.com on Sunday.

NS said the next-door neighbour also saw several people come out of Muin's room afterwards. "The neighbour went to the victim's room and the room's door was partially open. Another neighbour woke up because of the loud voices and saw people run out of the victim's room," NS said.

The witnesses found Muin dead and his body partially naked with several stab wounds in his legs, arms and stomach. His private parts were covered by a sarong, NS said.

P, 56, another witness, said he saw blood everywhere in the room.

Duren Sawit Police chief, Comr. Johanes Kindangen, said that a preliminary investigation led to a suspicion that the motive behind the murder was a love affair. However, he did not give any details.
