PETALING JAYA - The wife of Indonesian security guard La Ode Ardi Rasila pleaded guilty to overstaying for more than four years in Malaysia.

Helpia, 35, was sentenced to six months' jail and ordered to be deported to her home country after serving her sentence.

Two other Indonesian women and four men in their 20s and 30s also pleaded guilty to various offences, including holding a fake identity card and overstaying in the country.

All of them were arrested in connection to the bank heist and murder of Norazita.

The court sentenced them to jail time between six months and a year and whipping (the women were spared from whipping) and deportation.
