SINGAPORE - Mr Teo Zixiang, 32, IT consultant, drove away a brand new Nissan Sylphy 1.8L car at the Singapore Press Holdings (SPH) Shop & Win Challenge 2014 (SPH Shop & Win) today - for spending $127.85 for two pairs of shoes at Crocs.
The $66,000 car (without COE, road tax and insurance) was the top prize in the SPH Shop & Win promotion, an eight-week long campaign held in conjunction with the Great Singapore Sale that ran from May 30 to July 27.
Shoppers who spent a minimum of $50 at participating outlets and texted in their entries are eligible for eight weekly draws.
Other prizes included a Sinn U1000 Diving Chronograph watch, a Mitsubishi Electric refrigerator, Lorenzo Sofa sets and Huawei smartphones and tablets.
400 participants, shortlisted from almost 40,000 entries, took part in the live challenge - kicking a ball down a giant "pin-ball" ramp and into holes that represented prizes.
MotorImage/Subaru and Tan Chong International/Nissan were the main sponsors of SPH Shop & Win. The co-sponsors were Marina Square, Metro, Hong Thai Travel, MasterCard, Mitsubishi Electric, Huawei, Lorenzo, MyRepublic, OM Furniture and Sinn by The Hour Glass.
