Land Authority appoints new chairman, members to its board
The Singapore Land Authority has appointed Mr Lim Sim Seng, the Singapore Country Head of DBS Bank, as its new chairman.

He will replace outgoing chairman Mr Chaly Mah, who will finish his two-year term on July 31.

According to a statement from the Singapore Land Authority (SLA), Mr Chaly Mah was appointed Chairman of SLA in August 2010, having been a member since June 2007.

He will complete his second two-year term of office as Chairman on July 31, 2014.

The following members will also complete their current term of office on July 31, 2014 - Mr George Lim, Senior Counsel and Partner at law firm Wee Tay & Lim LLP and Ms Teo Lay Lim, Senior Managing Director at Accenture-ASEAN.

Ms Valerie Thean, former Deputy Secretary, Ministry of Law, ended her term of office earlier on March 11, 2014, as she was appointed as Senior District Judge of the State Courts (Family & Juvenile Justice Division).

The new incoming members are - Mr Poon Hong Yuen, Deputy Secretary at the Ministry of Law , and Mr Ang Cheng Hock, a partner at Allen and Gledhill.

Mr Wong Hong Kuan, the director of the Corrupt Practices Investigation Bureau (CPIB) is the only reappointed member.
