Lanterns galore at the raffles

SINGAPORE - Over 220 lanterns made by pre-primary and primary school kids from 16 schools will be on display at the Raffles Hotel as part of a Mid-Autumn Festival exhibition.

The exhibition, a non-profit community project, is organised by Taiwan pineapple cake maker SunnyHills.

Said its general manager, Mr Damian Lee: "It is simply our way of saying 'thank you' to the community."

Visitors are encouraged to vote for their favourite lanterns and solve the riddles tagged on to the lanterns. Admission is free for the event, open from today to Sept 22.
