Leadership change at Indian Women's Association

THE Indian Women's Association (IWA) unveiled its new president as it said goodbye to Ms Piu Lahiri, who stepped down as president after a two-year term on March 18.

That same day, the IWA held its 18th annual general meeting and thank-you lunch at the Rang Mahal restaurant in Pan Pacific Singapore.

In her speech, Ms Lahiri thanked the IWA members for their unconditional support and contributions.

Said Ms Lahiri: "I am certain that the new IWA community will keep the IWA banner flying high and bring it to even greater heights."

New president Sukanya Pushkarna paid tribute to her predecessor and said: "Piu has done a wonderful job and set the bar really high but I'm really very invested in all her ideas and so I'm excited to take it further and deeper."
