Little India Riot: Two more Indian nationals charged in court
Two more men were charged in court on Saturday morning, with their involvement in Sunday's rioting at Little India, bringing the total number of accused persons facing charges to 33.

SINGAPORE - Both Indian nationals, Palanivel Dhasmohan, 27, and Karuppiah Chandrasekar, 31, were accused of being part of an unlawful assembly, together with about 400 others, and throwing pieces of hardened cement at police officers between 9.20pm and 10.45pm, in the vicinity of Race Course Road.

Statement by the Police:

Police have arrested another two Indian nationals, aged 27 and 31 years old, in relation to the rioting incident at Little India.

The two subjects were charged in Court on December 14 for the offence of Rioting under Section 147 of the Penal Code, Chapter 224.

To date, the total number of subjects who have been charged is 33.
