L'Oreal opens first Southeast Asian multi-brand boutique

SINGAPORE - Beauty buffs, it may be worth your while to make a journey to the West to visit the latest dermatological destination in town.
L'Oreal Active Cosmetics has opened an exciting new multi-brand Derma Centre in Westgate Mall. A posh pad with three distinct wings, each section is dedicated to one of the beloved beauty brands: Vichy, La Roche-Posay and SkinCeuticals.
"Serious" skincare fans can now peruse the latest products from the dermatologist-recommended quasi-pharmaceutical brands, which were hitherto only found at hospital pharmacies and clinics.
Besides off-the-shelves products, expect expert advice and personalised diagnosis for your face and scalp concerns with the suite of skin health specialists on hand. The Derma Centre at Westgate mall also houses two high tech gadgets.
The first; a hand-held Derm Analyser, allows your skin consultant to map out 3D diagrams of your face for in-depth analysis of areas where you might need a little more help, like large pores around your T-zone - just don't request the high-res visuals to take home if you don't want to be traumatised!
The second, dubbed the SkinCeuticals Precision LED, scans your skin to zero in on hyperpigmentation and overactive oil glands, so you're better able to make an informed decision on the product lines you need to address your concerns.
The shopping experience is made all the snazzier with nifty decor, each reflective of the respective brands' image: Lounge at Vichy's cool cooper and warm wooden bar, for instance, or "check in" to La Roche-Posay's clean white "clinic".
Finally, if you're in the mood for some post-shopping pampering, consider booking a soothing SkinCeutical medi-spa facial at the brand's spa cabin - the first to offer the service in Singapore. Have fun skin-shopping!
