This made my day: Selfless rider helps disabled elderly in stalled personal mobility vehicle across the road

Helping an elderly across the street isn't an act that's limited to boy scouts – a young rider recently won hearts all across Singapore when a clip of him helping a disabled elderly cross the road went viral on Facebook.

In a post by Facebook page All Singapore Stuff on Saturday (Aug 31), a contributor shared a heartwarming scene where a rider got off his motorcycle to help push an elderly on his Personal Mobility Aid (PMA) across the road after it presumably stopped moving. The video appears to have been taken on a double decker bus which stopped at the traffic junction.

The contributor suggested that the PMA could have run out of battery while the elderly man was crossing the road. Appearing to have a bandaged leg, the man might have also been unable to manually move the mobility vehicle forward.

Thankfully, a motorcyclist, still with his helmet on, was around to lend the elderly man a hand.

Netizens were full of praise for the unknown Good Samaritan.

In a day and age where dire and depressing news is prevalent, it's such acts of kindness that go a long way in making our day a better one.
