Malaysian police hunting for man who fondled woman's breast at LRT station

KUALA LUMPUR - Police are looking for a man who allegedly fondled the breast of a bank officer at the Masjid Jamek LRT station.

City CID chief Senior Asst Comm Datuk Zainuddin Ahmad said the incident occurred at around 9pm on Wednesday.

"The 19-year-old victim was at the LRT station when a spectacled man fondled her right breast. When she screamed the suspect escaped," he said when contacted on Saturday.

He said a similar incident occurred at the Sg Buloh KTM Komuter station recently.

"Based on the latest victims statement, the man was believed to be in his 20's or 30's, had black hair, wore spectacles and was well built.

"We are working with the victim to get a photofit of the suspect," he said adding that police were investigating the case for use of criminal force on a person with intent to outrage modesty.

SAC Zainuddin urged members of the public to be extra vigilant and aware of their surroundings.

"If you feel like you are being followed, contact the police hotline immediately," he said urging anyone with information on the case to call 03-2115 9999 or to visit the nearest police station.
