Man, 59, dies at Smith Street

The body of a 59-year-old man was found near the lift lobby on the first floor of Block 335B, Smith Street, yesterday morning.

When The New Paper visited the scene at around 10.45am, the body was lying face up. A walking stick was seen next to the body.

A Singapore Civil Defence Force spokesman said they received a call at around 9.20am.

An ambulance was sent to the location. The man was pronounced dead by paramedics at the scene.

Police have classified the case as unnatural death.

Investigations are ongoing.
