Man arrested for alleged armed robbery

SINGAPORE - A 27-year-old man has been arrested for suspected involvment in a case of armed robbery along Choa Chu Kang Ave 4, police said in a press statement on Wednesday (Jan 6).

On Dec 11, police were alerted to a robbery that took place at a convenience store along Choa Chu Kang Ave 4. Police believed that the suspect had pointed a sharp object at the employee who had tried to stop him.

The suspect was subsequently arrested on Tuesday (Jan 5) in Choa Chu Kang.

He will be charged on Jan 7 for the offence of Armed Robbery, which carries an imprisonment term of up to 14 years and up to 12 strokes of the cane.
