Man arrested for outrage of modesty

SINGAPORE - A 23-year-old man was arrested for suspected involvement in a case of Outrage of Modesty committed at Choa Chu Kang Ave 4.

A 20-year-old woman reported to the police on April 1 that she had been molested by a man at a block of flats at Choa Chu Kang Ave 4.

Police learnt that the suspect was last sighted at Choa Chu Kang MRT Station. Through meticulous investigations and with the aid of police cameras installed at the block, the officers managed to identify the suspect and arrested him on May 15 at Choa Chu Kang Central.

The suspect will be charged in Court for the offence of Outrage of Modesty under Section 354(1) of the Penal Code, Chapter 224. If convicted he may be jailed up to two years, fined, and caned.
