SINGAPORE - A man who allegedly molested a woman at Ang Moh Kio Street 31 was caught after a good Samaritan chased him down and physically restrained him.
A witness wrote in to citizen journalism website Stomp giving his account of the incident, which occurred last night.
Stomp contributor 'R' said he was walking home at about 8.50pm yesterday when he saw a Chinese man being chased by another man who was shouting ''don't run' in Hokkien.
After running after the duo, he saw that the second man had locked the alleged culprit's arms from the back.
"I heard him ask: 'All witnesses here, is this the correct guy who molested this lady? Everyone said yes, including the lady (victim)," the Stomp contributor said.
R described how the man then pinned down the alleged molester on the floor, as well as firmly 'locked' his arms and hands from the back.
He added: "The man said: 'Don't you ever try to escape or I promise you your arms and hands will break.'"
"A few minutes later, the police arrived and he handed over the alleged culprit to the police before walking away."
