SINGAPORE - A man who allegedly carried out unauthorised modifications on the information of pre-paid SIM card subscribers could be fined and jailed if found guilty on Friday.
The 42-year-old is accused of making illegal modifications on the information of subscribers of pre-paid SIM cards belonging to three local telecommunications companies from 2010 to 2012.
The police said that the suspect faces 660 counts of the offence under Section 5(1) of the Computer Misuse and Cybersecurity Act.
If convicted, he could be fined up to $10,000 and/or jailed up to three years for each count of the offence.
