Man found in room with throat slit

PETALING JAYA - A 43-year-old man was found dead in his room after he allegedly slit his own throat in Taman Selayang Baru.

Gombak OCPD Asst Comm Ali Ahmad said police received information about the incident around 8.40am yesterday.

ACP Ali said the sister of the deceased tried to open her brother's room door, but could not do so as her brother had locked himself in.

"The sister had to go out of the house to get a duplicate key to try and open the door.

"When she was finally able to open the door, she was shocked to find her brother was already dead," he said when contacted yesterday.

ACP Ali said the case was being classified as sudden death, adding that the deceased's remains had been sent to the Kuala Lumpur Hospital.
