Stomp contributor Yusof saw the body of a man that was being carried away by police officers at French Road this morning (Aug 20).
A spokesperson for the Police said the man, who was in his 50s, was pronounced dead by paramedics at the scene.
In a phone conversation with Stomp, Yusof said:
"I was on the way to a coffee shop at French Road today (Aug 20) sometime at 10.40am when I saw the body of a middle-aged man on the ground.
"Police officers were already at the scene of the incident and they wrapped the body up with white sheets.
"I'm not sure what had happened, but I heard from passers-by that the man was drunk."
A spokesperson for the Police said:
"Police received a call today at about 8.08am requesting for assistance at Blk 801, French Road.
"Upon police's arrival, a man in his 50s was seen lying motionless at the said block.
"He was pronounced dead by paramedics at the scene.
"Police are currently investigating the unnatural death."
