TAIPEI, Taiwan - A man was shot in the head, allegedly by an acquaintance, yesterday in the Datong night market of Greater Taichung.
Wang, a 42-year-old vegetable vendor, was sent to the hospital emergency ward and was comatose as of press time.
According to a police report, Wang and the main suspect were under the influence of alcohol when the incident occurred.
A preliminary report indicated that Wang and an acquaintance surnamed Chen had argued over a debt during breakfast. At 8:44 a.m., Chen allegedly shot Wang in the head and fled the scene.
Upon arriving at the crime scene, the Fire Bureau of the Taichung City Government sent the victim to Kuang Tien General Hospital for emergency treatment.
Police said they have identified a main suspect and are searching for the suspect's whereabouts.
