Man nabbed for molesting teen in lift

Police have arrested a 25-year-old man for outrage of modesty.

On Sept 17, a 13-year-old female victim lodged a police report saying she had been molested in a lift in Woodlands, the police said yesterday.

The case was investigated by officers from Jurong Police Division.

On Monday, at about 10.15am, the suspect was arrested in the vicinity of Mowbray Road.

He will be charged in court today.

If convicted of molest, he may be jailed for up to five years or fined, and could also be caned.
