SINGAPORE - A sexual fetishist placed an advertisement online stating he was looking for a "submissive" to take part in bondage-based escapades.
Kwek Chuan Shan befriended a girl who told him she was just 15. Yet he still carried out his sordid fantasies with her.
Yesterday the 35-year-old, who faced seven charges of sexually abusing the minor, pleaded guilty to two counts of underage sex.
A district court heard that the girl created an account on dating site OkCupid in mid-2012. Four months later, she found Kwek's profile which stated that he engaged in "bondage and discipline, dominance and submission, sadism and masochism" or BDSM.
She contacted him and, during their communication, told him she was 15 years old.
In November 2012, she went to his Redhill Close home, where she consented to Kwek performing bizarre sexual acts and taking photographs before they had protected sex, said Deputy Public Prosecutor Sharmila Sripathy-Shanaz.
They met again on Nov 27, when he performed similar sexual acts.
The incidents came to light after a friend told the minor's father that he had received sexually explicit photographs of her.
Ms Sharmila cited the wide age gap and urged the court to take into consideration that Kwek was fully aware of the minor's age prior to meeting her.
District Judge Low Wee Ping adjourned the case to Jan 21 for counsel Amarjit Singh to mitigate.
The prosecution is seeking 12 to 15 months' jail for Kwek, who faces a maximum of 10 years' jail and a fine on each charge.
