Man plunges to death from 17th floor of hotel

KUALA LUMPUR - A man fell to his death after plunging from the 17th floor of a boutique hotel on Jalan Ampang.

The man, 21-year-old Leong Mann Seng, was caught on the hotel's CCTV at 1.55am Saturday when he entered the hotel.

He then took the elevator to the 17th floor before climbing a five-foot wall and jumping off about 20 minutes later.

Leong had also sent a text message to his mother before jumping, saying "Bye bye world. I love you all."

The message did not give a reason for his suicide.

Dang Wangi OCPD said Leong's body was discovered by a parking attendant.

"His body has been sent to Hospital Kuala Lumpur for a post-mortem.

"The case has been classified as suicide," he said when contacted yesterday.
