Man stuck in waist-deep water after falling into hole at Bt Batok upgrading site

SINGAPORE - A man fell into a hole that was partially filled with water at an upgrading site at Bukit Batok West Avenue 7 on Thursday night.
A reader of citizen journalism website Stomp was at the scene of the incident, which took place at around 11.22pm.
His photos show the victim trapped in the hole, as well as the Singapore Civil Defence Force (SCDF) personnel who had to intervene to rescue him.
The Stomp contributor wrote:
"I've attached photos of incident that took place at the multi-storey carpark of Block 404 Bukit Batok West Avenue 7."
"It was dark, and there were barriers in place.
"The man fall into the hole just after the rain. The water was at chest level, so he was lucky.
"I understand that this is a power grid upgrading work."
