Man suspected of breaking into office through its ceiling panels arrested

Police have arrested a 26-year-old man suspected of breaking into an office located along Beach Road.

On Sep 1 at about 8.50am, an office staff discovered that the office had been broken into and ransacked. A mobile phone and cash amounting to about $1,500 was discovered missing. A police report was lodged immediately.

Upon receiving the report, an investigation led by officers from Central Police Division immediately commenced. Through careful analysis of the crime scene and review of CCTV footage, it was believed that the suspect might have scaled into the office through the ceiling panels.

Following extensive investigations, the suspect's identity was established and he was arrested in the vicinity of Paya Lebar Road on Sep 1 at about 4.20pm.

If convicted, the 26-year-old suspect may face a term of imprisonment not less than 2 years and a maximum of 14 years.
