Manpower Minister's photo book raises more than $900k for charity

SINGAPORE - Manpower Minister Tan Chuan-Jin has raised more than $900,000 for four charities after launching a 178-page book of his travel photos.

In a Facebook post on Friday evening, Mr Tan said the event is expected to raise nearly $2 million for four charities after Government matching via the Care and Share programme.

The four beneficiaries are - National Kidney Foundation (NKF), the Movement of the Intellectually Disabled of Singapore (MINDS), Thye Hua Kwan Moral Society, and Cheng Hong Welfare Society.

He added that he was "really touched by the turnout, support and generosity of the over 200 who came". 

"Wasn't sure what to expect as I'd never done anything like this before. Thank you so much!"
