SINGAPORE - Singapore's Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MFA) has strongly condemned the beheading of US journalist Steven Sotloff,
A spokesperson from MFA said in a statement that ISIS is "a real and present danger to countries in the Middle East as well as the rest of the world."
"There is a critical need for the international community to work closely together to counter this threat," the spokesperson added.
MFA also said: "We extend our deepest condolences to the family and loved ones of Mr Sotloff and reiterate our call for all hostages to be released immediately".
