Minister for Defence meets counterparts on sidelines of Shangri-La Dialogue
Singapore Defence Minister Ng Eng Hen told delegates at the forum's closing session yesterday that it was an issue the region was still "grappling with".

SINGAPORE - Minister for Defence Dr Ng Eng Hen today met with ministers and senior officials from Australia, Cambodia, Malaysia, Mongolia, New Zealand, Tonga, the United States and Vietnam, on the sidelines of the Shangri-La Dialogue (SLD).

The 13th SLD is attended by some 26 ministerial-level delegates, as well as senior defence officials, parliamentarians and academics from about 35 countries. Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe is the Keynote Speaker for SLD this year.

This year's Dialogue, organised by the International Institute for Strategic Studies, is held in Singapore from May 30 to June 1.
