Minister K. Shanmugam visits India from June 30 to July 4

SINGAPORE - Minister for Foreign Affairs and Minister for Law K Shanmugam will visit New Delhi, Hyderabad and Chennai from June 30 to July 4, 2014.

A press statement released by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs today said that Minister Shanmugam will first call on Prime Minister Narendra Modi in New Delhi and reaffirm the excellent relations between Singapore and India.

Minister Shanmugam will discuss ways to strengthen bilateral cooperation with his counterparts, Minister of External Affairs Sushma Swaraj and Minister of Law and Justice and Communications and Information Technology Ravi Shankar Prasad.

He will also meet Minister of Finance, Corporate Affairs and Defence Arun Jaitley and National Security Advisor Ajit Doval.

In addition, Minister Shanmugam will interact with several top business leaders and senior media representatives.

He will meet Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu and Telangana Chief Minister KC Rao in Hyderabad, and call on Tamil Nadu Chief Minister J Jayalalithaa in Chennai.

Minister Shanmugam will be accompanied by senior officials from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
