Missing owner of eatery Hatched found after 3 weeks

SINGAPORE - The owner of all-day breakfast eatery Hatched has been found, the police said in a statement today, but gave no further details.

Mr Gerald Tan Wei Jian, 32, had been reported missing since Jan 2, when he was seen along Kheam Hock Road at about 2pm.

An appeal for information on Mr Tan's whereabouts was published on the police's Facebook page on Jan 14.

Hatched, known for its egg-based dishes, was set up in 2009 near the Botanic Gardens. The outlet was closed in 2012, the year Mr Tan opened another outlet in Holland Village.
