SINGAPORE - The Housing Board (HDB) launched 5,293 flats for sale under this month's build-to-order (BTO) exercise on Thursday.
These comprise 4,156 new flats in Punggol and Yishun, and another 1,137 units of balance two-room flats from previous BTO exercises to address the strong demand from singles.
The two-room flats are in Bukit Panjang, Choa Chu Kang, Hougang, Jurong East/West, Punggol, Sembawang and Woodlands.
Applications for the current exercise can be made online at the HDB InfoWEB till Oct 2.
With effect from this month's BTO launch, the board will also implement the enhanced Multi- Generation Priority Scheme (MGPS) and offer its pilot Three-Generation (3Gen) flats.
Previously, the MGPS allowed parents applying for a studio apartment or a two-room flat to submit a joint application with their married child applying for a two-room or bigger flat in the same BTO project.
With effect from this BTO launch, under the MGPS, parents will be able to apply for a three-room flat in addition to a studio apartment or a two-room flat.
HDB will also offer 84 units of 3Gen flats at Saraca Breeze @ Yishun to cater to multi-generation families who want to live together for mutual care and support.
