A fire that broke out in a flat in Bukit Panjang on Tuesday morning was put out within minutes, but left the place a charred mess.
The Singapore Civil Defence Force (SCDF) was called in around 7.30am. A fire engine, two Red Rhinos, two fire bikes and two ambulances were sent to the scene.
The fire involved items in the living room of the second-storey flat in Block 123, Pending Road. It was extinguished with two water jets, The Straits Times quoted the SCDF as saying. The occupants of the flat had fled to safety before the SCDF officers arrived. No one was injured.
