MP Baey Yam Keng discharged from hospital
The politician said on his Facebook page that he had been monitoring his platelet count since Nov 28, but it fell below the safe threshold on Sunday, and he was warded as a result. This is not Mr Baey's first brush with the mosquito-borne disease as he and Ms Lim were both hospitalised for dengue fever in 2007.

SINGAPORE - Member of Parliament for Tampines GRC Mr Baey Yam Keng was discharged this morning after being hospitalised on Nov 30 for dengue fever.

He tweeted a photo of his cut hospital wristband with a comment that his platelet count has started to rise and his doctor has allowed him to go home.

He added in a separate tweet that he is "still some way to full recovery", but will be able to make it in time for the opening of a play written and directed by his wife, Lim Hai Yen.

Mr Baey is the lead actor and producer of upcoming charity play, Like Me. I Like.

He also tweeted his thanks to "everyone for your concern" and apologised for not being able to reply every single well-wisher.
