Mr Lee's condition remains the same

Former prime minister Lee Kuan Yew's condition remains largely unchanged since the last update on 28 Feb 2015, said a statement from the Prime Minister's Office.

The doctors continue to monitor his condition, the statement added.

On February 28, an update by the Prime Minister's Office said his condition had improved slightly.  It also added that he continued to be on antibiotics, remained sedated and was on mechanical ventilation in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) at the Singapore General Hospital.

The 91-year-old was admitted to the hospital on Feb 5 with severe pneumonia.

The state of his health was on the minds of many at his constituency's Chinese New Year celebration recently. The MP for Tanjong Pagar GRC was to have been the guest of honour at the annual dinner, but had missed it for the third year in a row.
