Multi-agency emergency exercise at Sports Hub and Kallang Wave Mall tomorrow

SINGAPORE - The Singapore Civil Defence Force (SCDF), police and "several other agencies" will be conducting an emergency exercise at The Singapore Sports Hub and Kallang Wave Mall tomorrow (April 15) night.

SCDF said in a statement today that the exercise will start at 10.30pm and end around 2am the next day.

It said that such exercises are part of "on-going efforts to validate and update operational plans and procedures".

About 200 personnel and 15 emergency and support vehicles will be participating in the exercise. Vehicles in the exercise will have their beacon lights turned on to alert motorists.

Signs will also be placed near the exercise vicinity to alert members of the public, who are advised to not be alarmed.
