Torrential rain, strong winds and even hailstones hit parts of Singapore yesterday afternoon, downing trees and causing damage to property.

The storm also caused damage at Turf City's open-air carpark and the nearby golf range.

The Singapore Civil Defence Force said it responded to two incidents of vehicles caught under fallen trees, in Vanda Link and Turf Club Road.

No one was found to be trapped or injured.
