"Neighbour from hell" gives Ang Mo Kio residents sleepless nights

A family staying in Ang Mo Kio has been plagued with sleepless nights because a neighbour has allegedly been knocking loudly even in the wee hours.

Facebook user Nikki Shals shared a video on Apr 20 about her unpleasant experiences for the past three months.

According to the video, their second floor neighbour (below) had been calling the police and making reports against them for stomping their feet and making noises.

However, Nikki's family only consists of her (aged 15), her two sisters (aged 16 and 20) and her mother (aged 39) - there were no kids to "stomp" loudly.

They tried to settle their dispute in a Case Management Conference (CMC), where their neighbour changed tack and claimed that they "kept on flushing water" at night.

After the session, things did not end well.

Loud knockings, in the wee hours of the night at about 3am, started. It was so loud that Nikki's family could even feel the floor vibrate.

When her elder sister could not take it anymore, she went to confront the neighbour.

It escalated to an argument where she asked Nikki's sister to call the police and denied knocking.
