New bus services and improved routes for Choa Chu Kang, Punngol residents

SINGAPORE - Choa Chu Kang and Punggol residents will have two new bus services linking them to Keat Hong Close on Feb 15, as part of the Bus Service Enhancement Programme (BSEP).

The Land Transport Authority, in a joint statement with SMRT and SBS Transit said today that bus services 301 and 983 - operated by SMRT Buses - will provide residents with a direct connection to Choa Chu Kang Bus Interchange and MRT station.

There are also plans to extend bus service 983 to Bukit Panjang in the future, the joint statement said.

The route for SMRT bus feeder service 300 will also be amended to operate as a dual-directional loop service on the same date, skipping Avenue 5 and the section of Avenue 3 between Choa Chu Kang Way and Choa Chu Kang Avenue 1.

SBS Transit's Feeder Service 386, which plies the Punggol route, will be extended even further to ply Punggol Drive, Edgedale Plains, Punggol Field, Punggol East and Punggol Central.

Lastly, service 982E will call at two additional pairs of bus stops along Choa Chu Kang Avenue 5 and Keat Hong Close from Feb 16, the joint statement said.
