No emergency kits for some residents
Emergency starter kits containing three N95 masks were distributed to the AWWA Community Home for Senior Citizens on 8 May 2014 by staff volunteers from Singapore Power. The distribution of the kits, which also contain instructions on how to wear the masks and a list of emergency contact numbers.

SINGAPORE - Some residents in Bishan have not received their emergency preparedness starter kits ("Emergency starter kits for all households"; May 6).

When I contacted SingPost about this, it replied that the campaign was over and that the last day of collection was May 24.

I am not sure why four blocks in my estate were left out and residents were unaware that they would have to collect the kits from elsewhere.

If there are some kits left over, consider setting some aside for us, or at least for the elderly folk in our estate.

I am willing to collect and distribute them myself to the affected residents in my area.
