May 2013

A taxi driver locked the doors and drove her molester to the nearest police station.

Malaysian storekeeper Vikneswaran Veera Muthu, 20, was with a friend and the taxi was on the PIE when he leaned forward and grabbed the driver's breast.

Vikneswaran was jailed four months last week.

February 2013

Taxi driver Ling Ah Yen was punched twice in the face after running over hawker Koh Seng Hong's chihuahua.

Mr Ling sustained multiple head injuries from the assault.

Koh was sentenced to eight months' jail last week.

December 2012

A 24-year-old who had been drinking at Clark Quay flagged a taxi on River Valley Road.

After entering the taxi, he behaved aggressively and assaulted the driver. He was sentenced to five weeks' jail for also punching a police officer and for mischief.

December 2011

A cabby, 54, punched a fellow taxi driver after a confrontation.

The cabby was sentenced to a day's jail and fined $2,500.

April 2011

An ex-Singapore Polytechnic lecturer, 48, got out of a taxi without paying, at the junction of Dover Road and Dover Avenue.

When the taxi driver gave chase, he struck him repeatedly with an umbrella until it broke.

The ex-lecturer was sentenced to six weeks' jail.
