Over $94k heroin seized from men at Dairy Farm Road

SINGAPORE - About 900g of heroin, estimated to be worth more than $94,000, were seized in an operation on Friday.

Officers from the Central Narcotics Bureau (CNB) also arrested two men for suspected drug trafficking in the Bukit Panjang operation.

The first suspect is a 25-year-old male Singaporean who was seen driving into a multi-storey car park in the area early in the afternoon. The second suspect, a 52-year-old Singaporean man, was later seen entering the vehicle driven by the first suspect.

The duo then drove off not knowing that they were being followed.

CNB officers moved in on the suspects when the vehicle made a stop at Dairy Farm Road. A search of the vehicle recovered about 900g of heroin and a small amount of 'Ice'. Both men were arrested.

If convicted of drug trafficking, both men may face the death penalty.
