PAP chairman Khaw Boon Wan sends condolences to Mr Lee Kuan Yew's family
Former Singapore prime minister Lee Kuan Yew has died at the age of 91.
 

Minister for National Development and Chairman of the People's Action Party (PAP) Khaw Boon Wan has issued a statement offering condolences to the family of the late Mr Lee Kuan Yew.

Here is the full message below:

Founding Secretary General Comrade Lee Kuan Yew has devoted his whole life to Singapore. Millions of Singaporeans have improved their lives because of his dedication and sacrifice. As we mourn his passing, let's also re-dedicate ourselves to building on his legacy, for the Party and for Singapore.

Our deepest condolences to Secretary General Comrade Lee Hsien Loong and the family of Comrade Lee Kuan Yew.

Mr Khaw also posted a separate tribute to the late Mr Lee in his Facebook page.

 

 

Other PAP members have also expressed their grief at Mr Lee's passing.

Minister for Culture, Community and Youth & Second Minister for Ministry of Communications and Information and MP for West Coast GRC Lawrence Wong said in his Facebook page the best way to remember Mr Lee is "for us to pay tribute to him is to commit ourselves afresh to this task of building an enduring future for ourselves and our nation together."
