Parliament: 3,104 Singaporeans registered to vote overseas as of end-July

SINGAPORE - 3,104 electors have registered to vote overseas as of July 31, 2015, according to Deputy Prime Minister Teo Chee Hean in a written parliamentary response to Mrs Lina Chiam.

Mrs Chiam is a Non-Constituency Member of Parliament (NCMP) of the Singapore People's Party.

According to Mr Teo, the number of registered overseas voters is 0.1 per cent of the total number of electors in the registers.

He added that at the 2011 General Election, 78 per cent of registered overseas electors cast their vote at the overseas polling stations.
