Pioneer Generation to get letters about Medisave top-up this week

SINGAPORE - About 440,000 senior citizens will be getting their Pioneer Generation Medisave top-up next month. This week, they will be getting letters from the Government, telling them how much they will be receiving.
The letters will also remind the pioneers of other benefits that they're getting, including special subsidies at Community Health Assist Scheme (CHAS) clinics, polyclinics, and subsidised specialist outpatient clinics when they show their Pioneer Generation card, the Ministry of Finance (MOF) said in a statement on Sunday (June 14).
The pioneers will also get special subsidies for MediShield Life premiums when the scheme is introduced at the end of the year.
Pioneers will be getting $200 to $800 annually in Pioneer Generation Medisave top-ups. MOF said that about $202 million in top-ups will be disbursed this year.
The Pioneer Generation Medisave top-ups are on top of Medisave top-ups for older Singaporeans under the GST Voucher Scheme, MOF said.
